Immersive Dining · An Original Tale
Chocolatire
Four nights only · October 2026 · Brisbane
The parlour doors are opening. Dinner is served inside the story of a mysterious chocolate maker — live performance, moving light, and desserts engineered as finales.
The Tale
Who is the Chocolatire?
Chapter I
The Locked Parlour
For as long as anyone can remember, the parlour on the river has kept its doors shut. Passers-by swear they smell caramel on the wind, and see light under the door at odd hours. Inside, they say, a maker works alone — the one they call the Chocolatire.
Chapter II
The Invitation
Then, one October, envelopes begin to appear — sealed in wax, smelling faintly of cocoa. The Chocolatire is receiving guests. Four nights only. Dinner will be served. And somewhere among the place settings, golden tickets wait to be found.
Chapter III
The Feast
Inside, the parlour is nothing like the rumours — it is stranger and better. The walls move with light, the river runs warm and dark, and every course arrives as a scene in the story: a stage moment you happen to be able to eat.
Chapter IV
The Reveal
What the Chocolatire is really making — and why the doors open at all — is kept for the room. Every night ends with the parlour's great secret poured out at your table. No one leaves before the last drop.
Two Sittings, One Parlour
A matinee for families.
An evening that misbehaves.
The Family Matinee
Two courses and a welcome moment built for wide eyes — personalised chocolate bars, hidden golden tickets, themed mocktails and a chocolate river poured table-side.
The Evening Show
Three courses with cocktail theatre — oysters three ways with a dark-chocolate balsamic pearl, cocoa-chilli lamb, smoking signature serves and a bombe melted open at the table.
From the Parlour Menu
The Golden Ticket
Every child finds a personalised chocolate bar waiting at their setting — and hidden among them, golden tickets with prizes to claim before the show begins.
The Chocolate River
The matinee showpiece: a fudge-brownie riverbank with popping-candy pebbles and fairy-floss mist, finished table-side with warm pouring chocolate as the room erupts.
The Golden Egg Sour
The evening's signature serve — bourbon, butterscotch, lemon and edible gold, served smoking over a dry-ice nest in a golden egg vessel.
The Violet Bombe
A violet-painted white-chocolate bombe with a blueberry parfait centre, melted open at your table under hot chocolate sauce.
Every chocolate element — showpieces, painted shells, pouring chocolate — is made by the Lumen team. Theming, scenic, projection, lighting, sound and performance are all ours, delivered in partnership with our host venue's kitchen and floor.
